The Blender team has been making a push for industry standardization. There and option for blender 2.79x keyboard shortcuts, which I use. In the end I'd say the new interface is a bit of an adjustment but it's still blender.
I must say I'm happy to see eeve engine as default in the new version

the same happened with the change of interface from version 2.49 to 2.50 many disliked the new change since they loved working with blender with the old interface and others only reluctantly accepted the change and had to adapt, blender with each change interface the community dislike but even new users are afraid of the recurring interface changes made by blender every 10 or 20 later versions.
I continue working and will continue using 2.78 if you don't like the new 2.80 interface, you can always download the old version of blender or somehow adapt to the new one.
