I liked it, the staggering amount of trees added to the fact that they grow back makes the game feel really claustrophobic.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, plants are growing us, not other way around.

It's not bad, it's fun. It does need more work, maybe add some power-up, different background art, variety of enemys, ship upgrades, even music!
There are a bunch of tutorials here on newgrounds about coding on this specific genre.
It felt like a rotated version of space invaders!

Other than your impressive coding skills, the game doesn't offer too much originality, I was hoping for the snakes tail to grow but that didn't happen

That's the problem, and that's the idea :) The snakes tail dosn't grow, but the area is shrinking by each level so it get harder. The main thing was to reach the highes score possible, but since I can't implement the Newgrounds API, the idea got canceled.

I liked it!
The writing was pretty damn good, that's exactly what one would guess a photograph thinks like. The gameplay is refreshingly original and can get frustrating in no time. I kept imagining a mellow tune playing in the background of each level.
